For the initial visit of a minor, it is crucial that the youth’s primary legal guardian be present to provide information concerning pregnancy and early childhood of the patient.
For the initial visit of a child, enough adults should accompany the child to permit one of them to stay with the child while the primary legal guardian is interviewed separately.
